The Portsmouth Scouts’ Mountaineering Team was started in September 2002, with the aim of providing experienced Leaders to take members of Scouting climbing, as well as training for those who wish to gain their “Wall & Towers” qualification.

In addition to climbing, the team also have an interest in hill and mountain hiking. Martin Mackey is a qualified mountain leader and holds an Adventurous Activity Permit – Hill Walking Terrain 2 (Summer). If anyone is interested in using these skills, please contact the team.

The charges below are based on one session of 3 hours (maximum), but do not cover the cost of the actual climbing wall or tower.
