Scout Active Support (SAS) is designed for adults aged 18 and onwards who wish to support the District – both its members and its activities.

It’s for those who feel that they cannot put in the commitment of a full Leader, but would like to offer some support in some way. Anything from an hour a year to as much as you can spare is always appreciated and worthwhile.

In Portsmouth we are not a “tea and buns brigade”, but get involved in the active side of Scouting - both in the frontline and behind the scenes, providing the support the District and its Leaders need.

We also play an active role in maintaining Lyons Copse Scout Training Centre. We take care of the pond, keeping it fit for all the water activities from rafting to nature watches.
